Shelly Sanderson – Centre Support Worker

Shelly Sanderson

Shelly has worked at the centre for over 6 years and began as a volunteer, bringing with it a wealth of experience and understanding to her work at Second Chance as a Centre Support Worker. She completed her NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care in 2013, which helped to develop her brain injury knowledge alongside her already outstanding practical and personal experiences.

Shelly has a close relative with a brain injury which has provided her with valuable experience when working closely with other brain injury survivors and their families. This has enabled her to understand the complex, multi-faceted lived experiences of brain injury survivors and these skills have been invaluable for our members at Second Chance.
