Gemma Burton – Specialist Occupational Therapist

Gemma started working at Second Chance Headway in April 2016. Her career pathway has led her through a variety of settings providing her with valuable knowledge and experience as an Occupational Therapist with a specialist interest in Neurology and Brain Injury.

At Second Chance Gemma carries out assessments for rehabilitation and support, providing individualised treatment plans, undertaking one to one sessions, group therapy sessions, attending reviews and liaising with various outside agencies and professionals. Gemma uses her knowledge gained as a Case Manager to support members going through the litigation process. Gemma has a specialist interest in Cognitive Rehabilitation and will be undergoing further training to expand and update her current practice.
